Welcome Kids,
Feel the sun, and the breeze,
dance in the falling leaves.
It’s Autumn, the Fall Season.
Stubb, who cares about the seasons? Boring, double boring. I’m HUNGRY!
TT, look around you. The trees are red, gold, and orange. They’re dressed up for Autumn.
Can we eat the leaves?? NO!! What good are they? I’m into food. How about a Leaf Beef Burger?
“Okay TT, a Leaf Beef Burger would be interesting, but there’s more to life than food. We need to wake up, look around. Let’s think and learn about our world. I don’t want to be a BLOB FULL OF FOOD!”
Now he’s crying and yelling. I’m not a FOOD BLOB! I’m TT, a wonderful, terrific Talking Tummy.
I stop and listen to a group of kids running and jumping in a massive pile of leaves.
A tall, blond girl whirls in a circle. She announces, “These beautiful trees are deciduous.“
“So What,” yells a kid with curly red hair.
“You better remember the word deciduous. It’s on our science test and it means the trees that drop their leaves in the fall season,” explains the girl.
A boy with glasses adds, “So why are the leaves different colors? Anybody figure that out?”
The kids yell, “Chlorophyll! When the weather is cooler, the green chlorophyll in the leaves breaks down, and the leaves show their colors.”
TT screams, DECIDUOUS who cares!!
I run and jump in the pile of leaves. I roll around, yip, bark and beg. Luckily two of the kids feed TT and I a soft squishy cookie, 3 chips and a bunch of yummy crackers. TT is giggling and wiggling. I do a fast squish plop under the red and gold trees.
“TT, LIFE IS GOOD!!!!”
Bye Bye Friends. Happy Fall to you.
Look up, down and around, and LEARN.
