Hello Kids,
It’s almost time for that wonderful Easter holiday. Easter baskets and colored eggs, in fact, all kinds of yummy candy.
Easter Warning Don’t turn your back on one of those giant Easter Bunnies with the big ears, weird glass eyes and ugly smile. I know they’re not real, or that’s what everyone says, but I’d watch out. The strange overstuffed yellow ducks with the large orange bills and giant orange feet are in the same category called TROUBLE! Kids, keep a heads up especially if one appears on Easter morning.
A girl that I liked and miss very much had a go around with a large pink Peter Cotton-tail with a big smile. He appeared on Easter morning and she disappeared without a trace. The rabbit still lives at her house and sleeps in her bed . . .
TT my Terrible Tummy always wants to go to church. The church is served downstairs after the service and it’s my favorite place. We sneak down early and hide. When the families arrive we slide under a table with kids that look tired and mean.
I love the words, “No! I don’t like this. I want milk.”We wait quietly until they start to throw food or it slips off the table. Either way TT and I are delighted! Jello rolls or slips to the floor. One girl threw her baked ham and mashed potatoes and they landed just close enough for a gobbler. One boy yelled, “All I eat is bread. I don’t want this!” true Easter blessing; a large piece of cake filled with marshmellow and jelly beans rolls under the table.
Please don’t be too hard on TT and me. Remember dogs usually end up creeping around or hiding under something. NO DOGS ALLOWED is posted everywhere I go . . . so I have to be smarter than that silly sign and I AM. It’s call SURVIVAL!
Easter Warning be careful don’t eat the Easter Grass!! TT and I will never forget the kid that finished off everything in his basket. He lost control and jammed a handle full of pink shiny grass into his mouth. He had a major gagging problem and finally a huge, nasty upchuck!! I won’t say anymore but you get the idea.
Now on the upside of things. Enjoy your family and friends and give a Easter hug to someone who needs it. Hugs are free and they’re connected to smiles and we all need smiles.
Keep reading and do your best work at school. Before you know it we’ll be looking at summer and moving to the next grade.
Happy Easter
